Hi,
P and C Productions got it's start in 1999 with the first book of the "Cassie Series" entitled "The Promise". The "C" in P and C belongs to my dear friend CJ who I met on the Shgfanfic writers group in Yahoo groups. She started editing my writing and has been doing so for the past 10 years. I really don't know what I would have done without her. Our midnight "brainstorming sessions" over a couple of glasses of wine are legendary.
We have managed to see each other a total of three times. Twice she has come to me and once I have driven up to see her. I think next time...I'll take a plane. 1007 miles is a 17 hour trek by car but only about 5 hours by plane. She lives in LaPorte, Indiana.
I'm Pebbles aka Lyn Johnson. I live in Brunswick, Georgia along with my husband and our two dogs. we also have seven children between us. Yes...you heard right. That's seven. But relax...all are grown now but one. Our twelve year old daughter the "Diva" still lives with us and spends all of our hard earned cash just as fast as we can make it.
I sing and DJ weddings. I also work as a videographer and as a dog groomer at Golden Isles Animal Hospital. I'm pretty much a "Jack of all trades" and I've done everything from Parts Manager at the local Nissan Dealership to delivery driver for Airbourne Express. I have this philosophy that if I want something bad enough...and if I work hard enough...I can have it.
It's worked for me so far.
Starsky and Hutch took off right in the middle of my fourteenth year and I was completely fascinated with them. Not so much for their good looks as for the amazing friendship they had with each other. It wasn't untill I got a little older that I realized what "Hunks" they were.
LOL.
I grew up without a father so I wanted to be Starsky's daughter. I used to have these daydreams about being taken in and raised by him...hence the "Cassie Series". This was my childhood world were I would escape to be happy when my life was hard to deal with. I had to work to help my mother support us...something I never asked my kids to do although looking back, I believe it built character and made me strong.
Paul and David have really been a big influence in my life. I know that sounds silly...I've never met either of them before but the effect they have had on my life is so very profound. They taught me what a true friend really is. I go that extra mile for the people in my life especially when I know that they would do the same for me...sometimes even when I'm sure they wouldn't.
Paul has inspired me the most. Not only as he portrayed the character of Starsky the tough street-wise cop of the seventies but also through the years as I've watched the way he has handled things in his personal life. What incredible trials he has had to face. Through all of his heartache...the loss of his daughter and then his wife, he held himself together and somehow made it through. He finished raising Jake on his own and kept the foundation going in memory of Elizabeth. No small feat...and he did it all with a sense of love and compassion for his fellow man.
He will always have a special place in my heart.
David hasn't had a very easy road. Like many of us he struggled for years searching for happiness all the while letting the things that mattered most slip right through his fingers. His rags to riches to rags again story is so inspiring. Looking back...I'd say if he had only taken a little more time to smell the roses, he'd have realized just what a lucky man he truly was...and still is.
I wish him peace, love and most of all happiness. i think he's earned it.
The legacy they leave behind is one of hope love and friendship. If we could all learn how to be that connected to each other. That concerned for each other...the good guys would always win. Just like they're supposed to.
Love to you all,
Pebs
